Now, the domestic high-end steel products homogenization of the competition is very fierce. Take the large diameter seamless steel pipe for special use with outside diameter greater than 245mm, according to preliminary statistics, by the year of 2010, the national total production line has reached more than 20 with production capacity of more than 5500000 tons; in 2011, the new on 10 production lines,production capacity of 3000000 tons; in 2012 there will be new on 4 production lines, production capacity of 2500000 tons. By then, the country will have 11000000 tons of such large diameter seamless steel pipe production. In a short span of two years, its production capacity increased by 100%. According to the experts predicting, in recent years, such large diameter seamless steel pipe actual annual demand is less than 4500000 tons.
However, after the 50000 ton vertical extrusion machine in mass production, the annual import substitution would save $500000000 for the country. Seamless steel pipe diameter of 1320mm, thickness of 200mm by the unit production, is the only  largest giant tube diameter and thick wall in the world, which can fill the gaps. This unit not only can squeeze large seamless steel pipe, also can be extruded bars, profiles and other large high-temperature high-pressure high-end extrusion products.
Recently, "5000t grade large diameter high-pressure steel pipe hydrostatic testing machine"  passed by the Chinese Steel Structure Steel Association Deputy Secretary the inside and outside the province of experts evaluation committee for the evaluation of scientific and technological achievements.
The project fills the blank of large diameter high pressure seamless steel pipe to the hydraulic pressure test of relevant domestic enterprises. The industrial application shows that the operation assessment, testing machine at home and abroad steel pipe diameter, test pressure and maximum static pressure testing machine, and has broad application prospects.
In recent years, with the rapid development of the petrochemical and energy industry in China,the surge of large diameter thick wall alloy steel demand. Because of the large diameter thick wall alloy steel tube wall thickness can be up to 120 mm, the straightness reaches steel tubes of 5 mm / m, pipe end cut slope can be up to 7 mm, the required test pressure can be up to 70 MPa, the domestic and foreign hydraulic testing machine for active service cannot on do hydrostatic test for this type of steel pipe.
