Hydro-forming performance of seamless steel pipe and erw steel pipe

In recent years, the tube hydro-forming technology has been increasingly used in automotive parts manufacturing, to meet the requirements of lightweight vehicles. Due to the characteristics of low production costs, high production efficiency, more categories and higher quality. And the current used high frequency induction welding (Electrical resistance welding), ERW steel pipe as a raw material hydro-formed steel pipe fittings.

FLD (Forming limit diagram) is an important tool for evaluating the performance of sheet metal forming, and get the most widely used, and for the hydro-forming pipe, FLD is also very important. Picture 1 and 2 is a rupture failure sample under conditions of hydro-forming of seamless steel pipe and ERW steel pipe. Compared to cracks of seamless, ERW steel pipe cracks are located near the base of the welding area, mainly due to the presence of weld changes the pipe plastic flow law, so ERW steel pipes exhibit their unique characteristics.
