The packing,lifting and loading of SSAW steel pipe
PACKING:
1- Each pipe will be individually packed using nylon rope to avoid contact between each pipe.
2- Pipe will then be bundled and ends of pipe will be covered in plastic sheet then secured with steel strapping.
3- Additionally each bundle with have further securing plastic sheet/steel straps spaced along the length of the pipe (minimum of 4 steel straps).
4- All pipe will have end caps as standard.

LIFTING:
1- Each bundle will have thick, soft nylon slings secured for lifting which will help avoid abrasion to the coating.
2- All slings will be equispaced to allow balanced lifting and lowering into the containers.

LOADING:
1- Corrugated cardboard will be placed in the bottom and along the sides of each container to avoid direct contact with the container during loading and transportation.
2- A further layer of paper/cardboard will be placed between each layer of pipe as loaded in the container.
3- Pipe bundles will be adequately secured into the containers to help avoid movement during transportation.
