According to the official data，from 2011-2013 China’s welded steel pipe industry accumulated backward production capacity of 90.36 million tons, iron making production capacity of 45.3 million tons, refined welded steel pipe production capacity of 45.06 million tons. And compared to the "twelfth five" period the overall goal of eliminating backward production capacity, there are still a production capacity of 5.64 million tons need to be eliminated, iron making production capacity of 2.7 million tons, refined welded steel pipe production capacity of 2.94 million tons. Recently, the nation requires welded steel pipe industry during the "twelfth five" backward production capacity out the a year ahead of schedule to complete the task, that is welded steel pipe industry in China in 2014, the goal is 5.64 million tons of backward production capacity, compared with 2013 decreased by 4.8 million tons. From the calendar year out of total output, 5.64 million tons of numerical is already low, 2014 has easily achieved this goal.
